Happy Valentine?s Day!? In honor of this beautiful love month, today?s post is geared towards improving such an intimate and critical relationship that we often neglect.? Yep, you?ve guessed right, it?s your money relationship.? It?s no different when it comes to the money in your life or business, just like with any relationship encountered in life it takes love to enhance, build and grow it.?
Before, I move on to providing the tips, I feel it necessary to add this disclaimer. When I speak of love as it relates to money, I am not speaking in a sense of love for money to a point where you idolize or worship it.? I?m simply saying to take care of and have concern for the money that flows through your life and through your business.? This is very important, because money is one of the tools that we?re blessed with to create an overflow which can be utilized to improve your life, the lives of your family, fund your purpose, and make an enormous impact on those you are meant to serve through your business and through your life.
While there are many ways for improving your money relationship, I will only share five in this post today.
1.)??? Be clear about what?s in your money bank (money story) ? all of us have money beliefs deposited into us from childhood and financial experiences that have shaped the way we think about money.? Those beliefs and experiences around money creates a certain financial mindsdet?plays a huge role in why, how, and what we do with our money. It?s important to gain clarity on your money triggers and what?s holding you back from fully tapping into financial abundance.
2.)??? Pay close attention to your money ? just like in our personal relationships, the money in your business and life loves attention.? I?often say that if you ignore the money it will ignore you.? It?s imperative that you spend time learning how your money is going in and out of your business and life.? It?s also just as critical to ensure that you set aside time to plan out your money and to review your business finances/personal finances even if you start out at a dedicated 15-30 minutes a week.
3.)??? Show gratitude for the resources you do have ? even if your money is not where you would like for it to be, there?s always room for being grateful for what is there.? When you show gratitude by paying close attention to your money and improving your relationship with money it opens the flow of ideas of how to increase your money
4.)??? Show respect for your money ? do right by your money and be intentional in what you do with it.? As you?re working through reviewing your business financials, be open to what the numbers are telling you and be willing to make adjustments where necessary.
5.)??? Be cognizant of the fact that money is currency ? money is fluid and always has to be in motion, so be open to receiving as well as giving it.? Be careful not to let money just happen! Every dollar in your business/life should have a purpose/place.? So have a plan for how you?re go to make it, spend it, grow it, give it, save it and manage it.
This is not an exhaustive or exclusive list to improving your relationship with money. ?What I?ve listed above are tips that I?m using and have found to be a simple road map to money relationship enhancement.?? As you begin to consistently navigate through these tips and implement them, you will begin to see that you have more clarity & understanding for what is needed for your unique money relationship.
